Linda Thiel in talk on future cities at London Literature Festival

When: 21 Oct

Location: Southbank Centre

Linda Thiel, architect and director of the White Arkitekter London studio, participates in the cross-disciplinary panel “Cities of Ice and Glass: Nordic Utopias” to discuss how designers and writers can reimagine the spaces that most of us call home in an increasingly densly populated world.

Under the umbrella of the Southbank Centre’s Nordic Matters series, the London Literature Festival panel talk will look at the lessons that can be drawn from cities that have lead the way towards sustainability, such as Copenhagen.

It will also look at pioneering architecture that combines natural materials with state of the art methods and what the North can contribute in terms of expertise and ideas when it comes to the future of our cities.

And what do the stories about urban life tell us about the way our interactions in the city are changing?
