Thinking 100 Years Ahead – Moving a City

Kiruna, Sweden’s most northerly city, has to be moved! Iron ore has created jobs and prosperity in the city since 1900. But it is also mining that makes it necessary to move most parts of the city to safer ground over the next 100 years.

Åsa Bjerndell, Architect and Urban Planner at White Arkitekter, will talk about the importance of having a vision that defines values, character and culture as the city moves and develops. Media Evolution is an international conference that focus on factors that are affecting our society, with a media industry angle to it.
