White Arkitekter discusses reuse as a design strategy at Clerkenwell

Linda Thiel, Director of White’s London studio, will speak at “Waste not, want not: Conversations at Clerkenwell” programme, on Wednesday 25 May, 14.30.

As well as designing The Museum of Making pavilion for Clerkenwell Design Week, White Arkitekter will participate in a discussion among architects and designers on reuse as a design strategy.

Pop-up structures, meanwhile spaces and interim exhibitions can be instrumental in testing ideas and approaches to build authorship of public and community spaces, but should they be designed more responsibly for long-term use?

White’s Linda Thiel will be joined on the panel by David Kohn, David Kohn Architects; Suzanne O’Connell, The Decorators; and Sophie Thomas, Thomas.Matthews. The event will be chaired by Clare Brass, Head of SustainRCA, Royal College of Art.
