Over 600 projects from 80 countries entered the competition at the World Architecture Festival in Barcelona. The festival, organized for the second time, is on the 4-6 of November this year.

Vällingby city is nominated in the category Completed buildings – New and Old for the whole of the overall process and redevelopment in which White was the architect.

Kosterhavet will become Sweden’s first marine national park and the Kosterhavet Visitor Centre is nominated in the category of Future buildings – Culture.

White is nominated at WAF 2010

Also this year we are nominated with two projects for World Architecture Festival in Barcelona in November. Youth Centre – The Satellite in Sollentuna and Southend Pier in Southend-On-Sea.

Monica to become new CEO for Sweden's leading Architectual Practice

From 2011 Monica von Schmalensee will be the new CEO for White arkitekter AB, which is Scandinavia’s leading architectural practice and among the ten largest in Europe.
“I am very excited about the position and see great possibilities for the future,” says Monica who is currently deputy CEO at White. “We are definitely heading towards establishing ourselves as an internationally top-class player. Over the last few years we have increased our expertise and our competitive ability on all levels. This is a very good platform for the future.”

White wins competition to redevelop Southend Pier in England

Teamed up with UK engineers Price & Myers, White has won the prestigious competition to redevelop Southend Pier situated on the English Channel and the mouth of the Thames.
