The letter Q maintains a slumbering existence in most people’s alphabet. But for us at White it is quite the reverse – it is one our most important letters. Q stands for quality in every respect, from start to finish. WhiteQ. In 2006 we achieved a milestone, when several years of persistent improvement work were rewarded with international certification in accordance with the ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 standards.

The linchpin of our way of working is meeting the customer’s needs and our demands continually to improve our operation. By way of support for this, we have created a completely new quality and environmental management system. This covers everything we want to manage, not only our assignments but also support processes such as purchasing, finance and personnel. The aim is for the system to make the day-to-day work easier, both for our customers and for ourselves.

We are proud of these certificates from Det Norske Veritas, but we are not relaxing and nodding at them with pride. In order to live up to what they entail, we need to improve our system continually. The underlying data for these improvements is derived from many sources, such as customer surveys, employee surveys, internal audits, quality meetings and discussions when an employee leaves the company. We also have a very successful improvement process, which we refer to as our incident reports, through which many hundreds of suggestions are received each year from all of our employees. All with the aim of improving our business. Of becoming even better.
